You can use your own domain name for emails sent from RetailOS. This guide explains what’s needed to get started.

## Getting Started

Red Ant uses Amazon SES for our email service. In order to add your own domain to emails sent via our app you will need to provide Red Ant with your desired domain (i.e if you want emails sent from -[name@sales.examplestore.com](mailto:name@sales.examplestore.com) you will need to provide us with the name ‘sales.examplestore.com’). We will then configure this new identity on our side and provide you with MX and CNAME records.

## Setting up your DNS records

Red Ant will provide your team with a CSV which contains the relevant DNS records:

### Example records for 1 way comms

Will include only CNAME records

## Authorization

In order for Red Ant to be authorised to send emails from your domain you will need to add these records to your DNS provider. Once you’ve done this the status on our end will eventually show “Verified”. Note this could take 72 hours to propagate.
